Can you identify the road signs above?
The theory test consists of 50 multiple choice questions which are taken from a bank of over 1000. Five of the questions will be related to a case study. You are allowed 57 minutes to complete the questions, using a touch screen computer, and have to answer 43 or more questions correctly to achieve a pass.
These are based on the Highway Code, driving and road safety issues.
The Hazard Perception test consists of 14 video clips, each lasting about a minute. Each clip will involve a hazard which will cause the driver to change speed, direction or stop. One of the clips will have two hazards for you to identify.
A score of at least 44 out of 75 is required to achieve a pass.
Both tests must be taken and passed at the same time.
There are a number of books; CD-ROM’s and DVD’s available to help you work towards your theory test.
